Jason McKinley Williams is a high school English teacher residing in Winchester, Kentucky. Originally from Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Williams first seriously studied writing under the guidance of Anne Shelby at the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. He received a B.A. in English from Centre College and an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Kentucky. He spent a decade working in software design and development, but in 2007, his passion for teaching led him to resign and return very happily to the classroom. He lives in Winchester with his wife Andrea and their dog, Scout. He also actively pursues interests in fly fishing and photography.

A finalist in the 2009 “Next Great Writers” Competition by the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning, his work has recently appeared in Chevy Chaser and on the Accents Arts and Literature radio program on WRFL (Lexington, KY). His musings on teaching, writing, and everything else can be read at his blog: (http://jasonmckinleywilliams.blogspot.com)
