Chris Mattingly is a poet, storyteller, & outreach worker. Other than being influenced by poets Larry Levis, Yosef Komunyakaa, Etheridge Knight, & Martín Espada, Chris is equally informed by cooking & gardening as well as early blues musicians Skip James, Son House, & Robert Johnson.
Chris currently lives & works in Bloomington, Indiana & is pursuing an MFA in poetry from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.
