Dean Crawford is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Kentucky in 1973. He’s been married 27 years to Carol Williams, a social worker for St. Joseph Free Clinic, and they have two children, David and Joyce.
Dean is a veteran of the war in Vietnam. He retired from state government in November of 2005. After retirement, he tried substitute teaching, but discovered that he was not well suited for that job. Since then, he has been writing, attending Poezia on Thursday nights, running errands for his family, and working around the house.
