Dimitar Atanasov

Dimitar Atanasov is a novelist, playwright and a journalist.

He was born on September 23, 1953 in the town of Silistra, Bulgaria. He has graduated from the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Veliko Turnovo, major Bulgarian Philology.
He lives and works in Plovdiv, where he serves as a Secretary of the Cultural Figures’ Club in Plovdiv for many years.

He was a deputy editor-in-chief of the Voice Today newspaper, in charge of the Culture Section at the Province and Plovdiv’s News newspapers. The author of a weekly page on theatre at the News daily newspaper, issued from 1999 to 2001.
Freelance journalist. Municipal councilor.

A member of the Union of the Bulgarian Writers, the Union of the Bulgarian Actors /dramaturgy section/ and the Union of the Bulgarian Journalists.

Some of his works were translated in German, Russian, French, English, Italian, Serbian, Turkish.
