Marion Sevdalinova Koleva Georgieva was born on 02/08/1956 in Lom, Bulgaria.
She graduated from the Bulgarian State University “Kliment Ochridsky” in Sofia in 1980 with a degree in Social Communication and Journalism. Between 1990 and 1991 Marion pursued her Post graduate studies in the journalistic school of Moscow State University “Lomonosov”. In 1996 she finished her Postgraduate studies in American history at the Catholic University “Andres Bello” in Caracas.
Work Experience:
As of 7/2008, Marion works in TV 7, Sofia, Bulgaria as a Program Editor.
2004 – 2008 Marion works in Embassy of Mexico in Pretoria, South Africa as an Assistant to the Cultural Attaché.
2003 – 2004 Marion works in Euroconnection C.A., a trade company (import – export of software, development of new emerging markets – Eastern Europe, Latin America) as an Advertising and Public Relations Manager and Outsourcing consultant for Net Group Water Facilities in Rivonia, Johannesburg.
1998 – 2003 Marion works in the Department of advertising and public relations in World Tel Fax Electronics, C.A. – a telecommunications company in Caracas – as a Manager of the Department of advertising and public relations.
1991 – 1998 Marion is a freelance correspondent of Bulgarian TV in Caracas, Venezuela.
1980 – 1991 Marion is a Journalist in Bulgarian State Television – Editor of kids and teenage broadcasting. Magazine programs: Studio Youth, All Including Lesson, etc.
Marion has published many articles in the Bulgarian and Venezuelan press, as well as scientific publications in Bulgarian specialized journalistic and historic magazines.
She is an author of a journalistic book about Venezuela (1993, Sofia, Bulgaria, 180 pages), for which she was awarded the Venezuelan National Prize Andres Bello II grade.
Marion is an author of a book of poetry (1997, Caracas, Venezuela).
