Life is not a knife. No one

Eats with a life and a fork. That isn’t blood
On its edge. Life has

No edge. Life is too dull.
Is neither serrated

Nor fletched. Can’t pick locks
Or be thrown with uncanny precision.

Of course you’re old enough
To handle your own.

Yes I promise. Now
Put that life down

Before you hurt someone with it.
