looking
like the familiar
purplish fade
of a longtime bruise
hand
could not get a hold
up over
slopes
so insubstantial
even in dream
even
as I swam
past
that reminder
of hurt
toward
an aperture
beckoning
perhaps
not benignly
but who could suspect a Fra Angelico
sky
